“Although the play within a play takes place in Padua, Italy, the play is being performed in the Lord’s loft apartment in San Francisco. So the two “real world” sets I had to create were the garage door outside of the loft and the loft interior. The locations in the play within a play are created with furniture pieces and the color treatment on the perforated aluminum back wall which is used like a cyc.”
